Methodist Centre is looking for a high calibre social service leader with extensive management experience and unwavering commitment to serve the community as Associate General Secretary. The incumbent is expected to live out the Mission, Purpose and Value of the Organization at all times while carrying out the following job responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the General Secretary in the formulation and implementation of the Organization’s strategic plans;
  2. Provide strategic and dedicated leadership in social service, IT/digitalization, brand building, quality assurance, knowledge management;
  3. Identify and stay abreast of the needs of the community to ensure the services provided by the organization meet such needs;
  4. Proactively create and promote cross-functional and multidisciplinary collaborations among corporate functions and service units, ensuring effective delivery of quality service and continuous development; 
  5. Develop professional and sustainable relationship with various stakeholders, donors and sponsors through effective delivery of brand building activities and fundraising events and deployment of appropriate communication channels;
  6. Enhance service efficiency and cost-effectiveness by timely review of resource utilization;
  7. Provide responsive support to the governing Board, working panels and service committee where necessary.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, business management disciplines. Preference would be given to candidates with postgraduate and professional qualifications;
  • At least 10 years of relevant senior managerial experience in medium-sized NGO setting or sizable public organizations;
  • Possess strong strategic thinking, business acumen, influencing capability and innovative mindset;
  • Have sound knowledge of computer software applications, preferably with experience in system development / database management;
  • Have proven track record of strong leadership in people management and/or service development;
  • Embrace and willing to live out the Mission and Value of the Organization;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and preferably Mandarin;
  • Proficient in MS office with a working knowledge of data and technology.
