The MJ Band from the Methodist Centre was awarded as shortlisted finalist in the "Social Welfare Projects in Hong Kong" category of the competition from Connecting Hearts.
On 9 October 2025, three MJ Band members represented Methodist Centre at the「心連心 • 國慶社福薈萃」暨2025年「說好社福故事」比賽頒獎禮to share the band’s inspiring journey.
The《樂創流聲 - 長者音樂發展》project captures the 9-year musical journey of the Methodist Centre Elderly Service. Since the formation of the MJ Band (Music Band of Elders) in 2016 and the launch of music production workshops in 2019, Methodist Centre believed that every elderly person has an unique voice and music, which is the most heartfelt way to express their feelings.
MJ Band will continue to pursue music with heart and dedication. Let’s spread music, passion, and joy to our community.
