Our Centre's Cross-Departmental Child Protection Working Group organized a child protection seminar for staff on 4 November 2025. Ms Ng Pui Wah, Meko, Deputy Director of TWGHs CEASE Crisis Centre, was invited as the keynote speaker. She shared in-depth discussions with our social workers on professional knowledge and practical experiences in child protection. Topics included identifying preliminary signs of physical violence or sexual abuse in children, conducting risk assessments based on children's appearance, behaviour, emotional responses, and communication performances, as well as immediate handling methods and response strategies for social workers encountering suspected child abuse cases.

 

Our staff demonstrated keen interest in child protection matters, actively engaging in questions and discussions with the speaker.
