Over 45 Hong Kong social welfare organizations and 82 organizations from Guangdong and Macao participated in the粵港澳大灣區社會服務合作項目簽約典禮 on 18 October 2025. They jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote collaboration in social welfare services across the region. It aimed to establish a stable cooperation mechanism and leverage respective strengths to enhance social service capabilities within the Greater Bay Area through these collaborative projects.

 

Methodist Centre and 深高速深高樂康健康服務(深圳)有限公司(光明社會福利院) will launch a cross-disciplinary service exchange and training programme. This will facilitate the sharing of professional knowledge between both regions and provide cross-disciplinary training for staff, caregivers, and family members. The training will focus on specialized areas such as speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and art therapy, addressing the needs of residential care homes in the Greater Bay Area and strengthening service connections between Mainland China and Hong Kong.
