Responsibilities:
- Execute human resources policies and procedures, and handle HR-related inquiries and cases from service units.
- Ensure the organization complies with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, handling invoices, screening resumes, arranging interviews, preparing new employment contracts, and coordinating onboarding procedures.
- Update HR records, manage contract renewals, performance management processes, and other related documentation.
- Coordinate and administer payroll for full-time and part-time staff, including monthly payroll calculation and disbursement, as well as processing salary adjustments and final payments for new hires and leavers.
- Handle internal staff movements such as transfers, promotions, resignations, and changes in employment terms; execute related procedures and preparation of official correspondence.
- Update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accuracy of employee data.
- Handle employee work injury cases, including notifying the Labour Department, providing medical documentation, and submitting required documents to insurance companies for compensation claims.
- Coordinate staff training programs and related administrative tasks.
- Arrange internship programs with universities and higher education institutions, placing interns in various relevant departments.
- Organize and participate in staff activities and employee recognition programs, such as long service awards and retirement award ceremonies.
- Manage employee welfare matters such as birthday gifts and greeting cards.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Degree Holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, experience in local NGOs or public organizations is preferred.
- Well versed in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and other HR related regulations/ordinances.
- Proficient in MS Office applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing.
- Analytical and able to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment.
- Detail-minded, independent, well-organized with positive attitude.
- A good team player with a strong sense of ownership, result-oriented and ability to handle multi-task.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of both English and Chinese.
- Candidates who can be available immediately will be highly preferrable.
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Officer.
